What to bring

  • Bible, notebook, pens
  • Athletic shoes (closed toe shoes, not your river shoes)
  • 4 or 5 casual outfits (t-shirts, shorts and athletic shoes)
  • Old t-shirt, shorts and river shoes (MUST HAVE)
  • Swimsuit (a modest one-piece)
  • Bedtime clothes
  • Undergarments
  • Light jacket or sweatshirt
  • Raincoat or poncho
  • Sleeping bag
  • pillow
  • Single-person air mattress or pad for sleeping.
    We have air pumps
  • Toiletries in small containers
  • 2 Towels (1 for showers, 1 for swimming)
  • Shower shoes (flip-flops, etc.)
  • Bug repellant
  • Sunscreen
  • Plastic bag for wet items
  • Flashlight, extra batteries
  • PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING WITH A PERMANENT MARKER!

What to wear

At Riverside Cove we do tons of fun and exciting activities. Since we are always moving (and for your safety) no jewelry will be worn at camp except stud earrings. All body piercing must be removed prior to camp. Girls should wear t-shirts, shorts (mid-thigh), and athletic shoes.

What NOT to wear

Girls are to wear modest clothing. No “Daisy Duke” short shorts.

Campers with Meds

Our medical staff will be on hand to check-in all medication. Note: All medication must be clearly labeled and in the original container or prescription bottle. NO LOOSE MEDS IN ZIPLOC BAGGIES!

Items Not Allowed

  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco products
  • Weapons (including pocket knives)
  • No electronic devices of any kind (iPod, iTouch, CD player, cell phone, etc.)
  • “Flip-flop” sandals are allowed but not appropriate for most camp activities
  • If these items are brought, they will be held until the end of camp

No guest will be allowed to stay or eat at camp.

Riverside Cove is located on a single lane road. Please be patient during pick up and drop off. We will try to make this process as painless as possible. Once you cross the bridge someone will be at the road to direct traffic.

Campers may NOT drive to camp and park/leave vehicle.

Don’t send anything to camp that your camper will be devastated at losing or bringing home damaged. Please label all your camper’s things.

*Please bring a swim suit everyday as we have some type of water activity each day.

Please bring the following items:

  • Backpack or duffle bag for all your goodies
  • Swim suit (Girls: a modest one-piece)
  • Towel (marked with camper’s name)
  • Sunscreen
  • Reusable water bottle (like Nalgene) with name on it
  • Water shoes (these should fit securely; not flip-flops)
  • Trash bag (for wet clothes)
  • Theme gear (we will remind you each day at pick-up what the following day’s theme will be
  • Change of clothes (please label everything!! Especially underwear and socks)
  • Bible and pen/pencil

What NOT to bring

  • iPod, iTouch, mp3 players, etc.
  • Cell phone
  • Any kind of video game
  • Any kind of weapon (pocket knife included)
  • Any type of sports equipment (while these are good, they end up getting lost)
  • Any toy (same applies as above)

**If any of these items are brought, they will be held until the end of camp

What to Wear

Please wear shorts, tee shirt and closed toe shoes. No sandals or flip flops may be worn for activities. You may, however, bring water shoes for water activities.

Lunch

Please pack a substantial lunch for your camper. Camp days are filled with activities so they will need plenty of nourishment to keep them going. We will provide drinks. Please pack lunches in grocery bags, tie the top closed and label with your camper’s name. We will keep the lunches cool.

Water

Please send your camper with a reusable water bottle (like a Nalgene) that is labeled with their name. In order to stay well hydrated, they will carry their water bottle everywhere and will refill their bottles throughout the day. Please label everything!

Parent’s Night

Mark your calendars for Friday, July 18th at 6pm at Riverside Cove (click for directions). Come join us for an evening of fun, Riverside Cove style. You will get to meet your kid’s counselor and hear all about our week full of adventures.
